Breakfast and After School Club (BRASC)
The Breakfast and After School Club (BRASC) is run by Kelbrook Primary School and exists to provide high quality out-of-school hours childcare for our parents. It provides a range of stimulating and creative activities in a safe environment. The safety of pupils is our priority whilst they are in our care at school. Kelbrook Primary School is committed to the safeguarding, and promoting the welfare, of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We aim to promote equality of opportunity and a positive attitude to all pupils and staff.
The Breakfast and After School Clubs provide quality wrap-around care for pupils at Kelbrook Primary School. It aims to:
- Provide an affordable service for working parents and carers of pupils from Kelbrook Primary School from Reception to Year 6.
- Support working parents by providing a secure, safe and welcoming environment for pupils of Kelbrook Primary School attending before and after school childcare from 7:30 am until 8:45 am and from 3:30 pm to 6:00pm respectively. There is no after school club on Friday evenings.
- Provide a variety of supervised play activities in a safe and stimulating environment.
- Consult children regularly on their preference of activity.
- Enable pupils to eat a healthy and varied breakfast each morning and a light snack at the end of the school day in a pleasant, relaxed environment.
- Employ experienced and committed supervisory staff, with relevant training in first aid, food hygiene, and child protection.
- Always provide high-quality care.
- Use safe equipment to ensure the continued wellbeing of all pupils in attendance.
BRASC is bookable in advance via School Money. Breakfast club cost £4.25 and after school club £7.25 per session. The school offers a subsidised rate to families who meet the criteria for Free School Meals.
